Who is responsible for your data

The controller of the personal data collected through this site is Marcin Ziółek. For anything to do with your privacy, write to hello@ziolek.dev.

What I collect and why

The site has no forms and no user accounts. Your data only reaches me in these cases:

  • Email - if you write to me, I process your email address and the content of your message to reply and, where relevant, prepare a quote (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). I keep correspondence for as long as it is needed for our work together or for accounting.
  • Visit statistics - with your consent, I use Google Analytics to see how many people visit the site and how they use it (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Details below.
  • Server logs - the server hosting the site may automatically record basic technical data (IP address, browser type, time and URL of the request) to keep the site secure and working (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Language choice - on your first visit, the site checks your browser language and the country your IP address points to, to show the right language version. This information is not stored.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics is a service provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). It collects anonymised information about visits: pages viewed, visit duration, approximate location (country, city), device and browser type, and where you came from. Google Analytics 4 does not store full IP addresses.

The site uses Google Consent Mode. Until you give consent, Google Analytics stores no cookies on your device and receives only anonymous signals with no identifiers. Once you consent, the cookies listed below are set.

Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States. Google LLC participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and transfers are additionally covered by standard contractual clauses. Analytics data is kept for no longer than 14 months. For more, see Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
